Join in this month and get full credit!
This year we’ve challenged you to memorize the 12 Bible Verses Every Californian Needs to Know.
If you missed out on the first three months, we’re instituting a grace period. You can jump in now and still get credit for the whole year. Think of it like the Parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard.
How to participate
For memorizing, we recommend you read the verse 10 times then recite it 10 times. Do this each day and within a few days it will stick. Learn more about how to memorize Scripture here and here.
Once you have it memorized, recite it for us before the month is over. You have two options:
Record a video and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. You’re on the honor system, but make sure to keep your eyes on the camera the whole time.
Head to our Welcome Desk on a Sunday morning and recite it to one of the Connect Team members. After you do, send an email to email@example.com letting us know which Connect Team member you recited it to.
April’s Verse: 1 Peter 1:3-7 (ESV)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
